USE RECOMMENDATION:

Plum Kernel Virgin (Prunus Domestic) Seed Oil
Our certified organic plum kernel oil is a rapidly absorbed oil cold pressed from the fruit kernels of Prunus domestica. It has a mild almond/marzipan-like aroma and contains high percentages of the skin nourishing oleic and linoleic acids as well as a complement of other fatty acids. Unlike many carrier oils, plum kernel oil features full-spectrum Vitamin E tocopherols (predominantly γ-tocopherol), lending significant antioxidant activity1,2, as well as traces of a variety of very-long-chain fatty acids so necessary for skin health.
We source our plum oil from southwest France, near Agen. This location has some of the oldest varieties of plums, representing a botanical bioregion bursting with diversity. The plum trees arrived in France from Damascus, Syria sometime in the 13th century and were cultivated in many parts of the Mediterranean where they were also sundried into prunes. Soon the prune (plum in French) D’Ente – literally a graft between local varieties and Syrian plums – became the most populous variety, thus the pruneaux (prunes in French) D’Agen industry was born.
Plum oil is an anti-aging, multi-purpose oil that balances, and restores the skin. It is naturally abundant in essential antioxidants, nourishing omega fatty acids 6 & 9, and powerful polyphenols, all of which may help protect the skin from damaging free radicals.
