Did you know?
Some of the first soaps in the first century were made in the Roman Empire with tallow. Many soaps continued to be made with tallow, however in recent decades most commercial soap makers have swapped tallow for vegetable oils such as palm oil. A big factor in this transition was that these vegetable oils are cheaper.
We still use tallow in our soaps because it has a range of benefits for your skin. Not only does it contain beneficial vitamins and antioxidants, but tallow is packed full of the same lipids that are needed for healthy skin. Because tallow and our skin oils share similar concentrations of lipids and other fats, tallow absorbs easily into the skin and doesn’t irritate sensitive skin. While many soap bars leave your skin feeling dry and tight, tallow makes for a rich and creamy soap bar!
Soap FAQs
Can I use this soap on my face?
Yes, our soaps can also be used on the face. Please always do a patch test before using on the entire face.
We do make soaps with ingredients specifically for the face, such as our Fresh Face Cream Bar and Blue Beauty Cream Bar.
We also recommend the Buttermilk Bar, or Charcoal Bar for use on the face. The Buttermilk bar is made with nourishing, gentle ingredients while the Charcoal Bar is great for targeting acne.

Natural Ingredients

Grass-Fed Tallow

Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense Essential Oil boasts anti-aging benefits by smoothing fine lines, reducing the visibility of scarring and discoloration, promoting healthy cell regeneration, and stimulating collagen production. It is an overall ally in turning a complexion from dull to radiant.

Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender Essential Oil is anti-inflammatory and moisturizes dry skin. It can be used to soothe dry, irritated, and sensitive skin. It also protects the skin from free radical damage, such as environmental stressors like pollution and UV rays that accelerate the skin’s aging process.
