Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is a stable, oil-soluble form of Vitamin C. Unlike water-soluble forms of vitamin C, which can be rapidly broken down by the skin, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate remains stable for longer and can provide longer-lasting benefits.
This form of Vitamin C can penetrate the skin more effectively and is also less likely to cause irritation than other forms of Vitamin C.
Studies have shown it to clarifying and brightening to the skin as well as stimulate collagen production by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment), resulting in a more even skin tone. For this reason it is most often used to reduce the appearance of dark spots, age spots, and hyperpigmentation, leaving skin looking more even and radiant.
